The SONY Effio® DSP Technology
The SONY Effio® DSP is a digital signal processing technology used in our latest color CCD cameras. The Effio® DSP device is provided in a compact package within the camera and allows for miniaturisation and reduced power consumption.
With the addition of the Effio® DSP, we can provide much higher end features within the dome that are only available on the most high-end surveillance cameras.
The Effio® DSP sits between the "Analog Front End" stage and the "Output" stage of the camera's citcuit and provides acees to some exciting features.

Adaptive Tone Reproduction (ATR)
The ATR (Adaptive Tone Reproduction) function provides gradation compensation to improve the contrast of subjects whose gradation has been lost in cases where, for instance, both low-luminance areas and high-luminance areas exist in the same picture.
The ATR function improves the visibility of the entire picture by providing the optimum gradation compensation for the image in one field based on the luminance information.
Excellent Color Reproduction
Excellent Color Reproduction under a variety of light sources rangin between 1,800K to 10,500K.
2D Digital Noise Reduction
Noise reduction is a function that reduces the image noise in order to improve the image quality of the camera.
In particular, it reduces the noise which is generated under low-brightness shooting conditions and other high-gain states.
Privacy Mask
Privacy masking is used to protect personal privacy by blocking out certain parts of an image. A good example is an Automatic Teller Machine where personal passwords should not be recorded.
On Screen Display
The built in OSD feature allows fine tuning of the camera, even after installation. With a push button controller integrated into the video cable, the menu can be easily accessed for specific adjustments.
