3 Blade Cable Stripper for use with RG6/U, RG58/U and RG59/U coaxial cables.

For stripping RG6/U, RG58/U and RG59/U coaxial cables. 3 blades ensure accurate stripping length of each cable section. Built-in hex screws for accurate depth-of-cut adjustment for each blade. Preset stripping length of 12mm (8mm + 4mm). Blades may be repositioned to give a 10mm (6mm + 4mm) stripped length.

Instructions for Coaxial Cable Stripper

This 3-bladed stripper suits these coaxial cables:RG-58, RG-59, RG-6 Dual Shield and RG6 Quad Shield

The stripping tool and the cable must be oriented as shown to achieve the correct result. The diagram on top of the stripper can be used as a guide to ensure correct orientation of the stripper and the cable. The depth-of-cut of each of the three blades is individually adjusted by turning one of the three hex screws. Blades A and B (always mounted in those two positions) give the 4mm strip-length. Their depth-of-cut is adjusted by screws A and B respectively. The third blade can be moved to either positions C or D. Position C gives a 6mm strip-length (see fig. 2 above). Position D (the factory-setting) gives an 8mm strip-length (see fig. 1 above). The same hex screw is used to adjust this blade irrespective if it is in position C or D.

Changind the position of the third blade

The third blade can be changed between positions C and D to give either a 12mm overall strip-length (position D) or a 10mm overall strip-length (position C). The two halves of the stripper are held together by the SHAFT. Once the stripper has been disassembled, the BLADE-PIN can be removed to allow the position of the third blade to be changed.

CAUTION: Be careful when removing the shaft. A powerful spring is located inside the stripper and care must be taken to prevent possible injury or damage.

  1. Remove the shaft from the body of the stripper and separate the two halves of the stripper.
  2. Remove the pin holding the blades.
  3. Change the position of the third blade to position C or D. The other two blades should always remain in positions A and B.
  4. Re-install the blade-pin.
  5. Orient the stripper body and the spring as shown and lower the spring into the body of the stripper.
  6. Place the other half of the body over the spring and close the two halves together.
  7. Re-install the shaft.
